Smuggling of goods and currency is part of the informal economy and is not recorded in official statistics and damages the information systems of the national economy. First, it deals with the causes and consequences of trafficking based on the conceptual model, then it uses the qualitative approach of grounded theory to address the most important issues. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the factors that create and intensify the smuggling of goods and currency and examine its effects and provide suggestions to fight against smuggling to achieve a resilient economy, especially focusing on three key areas. It means economic policy, national production and unemployment. This article is a description of a research whose statistical population was the university professors and specialists of the headquarters of combating goods and currency smuggling. The anti-trafficking headquarters and its strategic plan were launched. While the aim of this action is to reduce the smuggling of goods and currency, the headquarters should reconsider its approach and move towards knowledge and technology management. Therefore, more attention should be paid to qualitative research, especially in the field of social and cultural consequences of this phenomenon.
